“Please give me one cup of Fula and nkatie wai. As for today, don’t add milk to it.” I am an avid drinker of Fura, which many Ghanaians call Fula. Abi you know Fula, right? Sharp! In case you don’t know or forget, make I brief you small.
It’s mostly sold as street food in my beautiful Ghana, Nigeria,
Mali, and other parts of Mama Africa. But
it’s so easy to make at home. If you want to make your kiddies strong and smart, make
you give them a weekly dose of this unique and refreshing African beverage.
Millet floor from which Fura is made contains vital nutrients such as magnesium, calcium, manganese, tryptophan, phosphorus, fiber, B vitamins, and antioxidants. You see oo, all these nutrients dey for only the millet inside. If you add the nutrients in the milk, sugar, and groundnut to it, the levels don change.
All these said, what I like about my Fula friend is her
approach towards technology. She dey take advantage of this fast internet and
social media-driven world to market her Fula business. Unlike some of her
colleagues who also sell Fula and other indigenous African beverages and foods,
she has a Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp account and uses a very good smartphone.
So, you can call or send her a message to order before she reaches your office with your cup of sweet Fula. That is what I call Fula-Tech 😃😃😃. I dey hope say all of our brothers and sisters who are into small businesses will take advantage of technology to improve our world. Osaay Fula - Tech!
